Jeff Kahooilihala died November 2nd, 2025.
Jeff was original — a beautiful mind, an artist, a misunderstood misanthrope. He spent much of his life performing like a street magician for others, adhering to the dogmas of society simply to be considered —— good.
Plagued by inner struggles born of external sources, Jeff eventually found peace later in life — in love, in safety, in someone who allowed him to be his authentic self: sometimes dark, sometimes sad, sometimes ugly, sometimes weird, but always creative, always rocking, always curious, always goofy.
He was a master of unfinished masterpieces. As soon as boredom crept in, he moved on to another painting, sketch, vision, or idea. His home became a gallery — speckled with fragments of beauty and the macabre scattered in every corner.
His snarky humor, mischievous grin, infectious laugh, childlike playfulness, constant affection, and the roar of his guitar through the Sunn Beta Lead amp will be--- crushingly missed. The house has fallen silent.
Born in Akron, Ohio, to Catherine Rowan and Donald L. Kahooilihala, Jeff is preceded in death by his son, Adam Kahooilihala. He leaves behind his daughter, Audrey Kahooilihala (Marc Meganhardt); his grandson, Benjamin Fijalkovich; and his person — Leisa Jaye.
There will be a private Celebration of Life for Jeff.
