Jerry Lee Frey

Jerry Lee Frey, 67, passed away Friday, October 7, 2022. He was born in Barberton on January 28, 1955.  Jerry was a graduate of Barberton High School, Class of 1974 and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after 35 years of service.  Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and spending time at his “farm” in Southern Ohio. Preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Irene (Grzelak) Frey and sister, Sandy Frey. Jerry is survived by his brother, Wilbur “Webb” (Carol) Frey, many nieces, nephews and friends. The entire family is forever grateful to his special nieces, Debra and Nicki Zepernick who were his main caregivers during his recent illness. We would also like to thank his friend and longtime co-worker, Don Yates for providing support by spending hours visiting at the hospital and watching over “Joker” in his final days. Funeral service for Jerry will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 12 Noon at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family from 11 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made the American Cancer Society.
