John Meade Glenn

John Meade Glenn died Saturday, September 18, 2021 following a breakthrough Covid 19 infection. He was 90 years old. He is survived by his son, James; daughter, Elise, son-in-law Joe (Petrarca); grandchildren, Christopher, William, Joey, Cecily and Jack; sister-in-law, Helen and nieces, Lynn (Soquel), Beth, Karen and her children, Scott and Marti.John was a partner at Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs for many years and then served as General Counsel of Roadway Services. He fervently worked to build community in Akron, including as their solicitor, desegregating the Akron Public Schools. He was a graduate of the University of Rochester and Harvard Law School. More could be said, but above all, he was the loving, generous, fun center of his family, beloved also by friends and colleagues. He was the best among us, and greatly loved. Services will be private.
