Joseph “Joe” E. “Pa” Murray, 91, of Coshocton passed away Friday, April 1, 2022 of heart failure with his lover, best friend and wife of 34 years, Caroline Murray by his side. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the Coast Guard air and sea rescue. He retired from the Army National Guard as a Crew Chief with 20 years of service. He also retired from DECAS as an aircraft parts inspector. He was a licensed pilot, A&P Mechanic and had been a Charter Pilot. Joe was life member of the NRA and VFW. He loved a good joke, airplanes, trains, Jim Beam and nothing better than sitting on his front porch watching for critters and listening to the sounds of the woods. Pa leaves behind his loving wife, Caroline “Ma” Murray; his children and their spouses Tom (Anita) Dunn, Tricia (Mark) Ortscheid and Tonya (James) Sewell all of Akron, John Murray and Louise Murray of Texas. There is also a marvelous granddaughter, Brittani (Justin) Dickson; very special grandson, Joseph T. Dunn; special nephew, John (Nancy) Murray of New York. There are also two other daughters, Jamie Murray and Cindy Murray. He was preceded by his parents and loving brother, Jack. Pa will be dearly missed. Per his wishes Joe was cremated and laid to rest with military honors.
