Juanita Barber

Juanita Barber, 88, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 21, 2023. She was born on July 15, 1935 to the late Albert and Thelma Fortenberry. She was a life resident of Akron.  Juanita was a homemaker and a school crossing guard for the Akron Public Schools and a member of Praise Chapel Assembly of God. Preceded in death by her sister, Jean Long. Juanita is survived by her son, Thomas Barber; daughter, Anita (Brett) Mooney; sister, Bonnie Ciccolini and the entire Ciccolini Family; along with her longest and best friend, Fran Kitchen and neighbor, Anita. Juanita’s funeral service will be he held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the Praise Chapel Assembly of God, 1204 McIntosh Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44314 with Pastor Robert Shank officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
