Judie passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2023 at the age of 72. She was born in Barberton, Ohio on January 31, 1951. Judie grew up on Rockcut Road in Norton, Ohio She expressed so many fond memories of the neighborhood and going to school at Sherman Elementary. She graduated from Norton High School, Class of 1969 and went on to work as a bill collector for the Akron Credit Bureau. Judie became a stay at home Mom after her daughter, Tyler was born. She was an amazing mother. She always did what she could for Norton City Schools, being an active member of the PTA. She was an avid reader and loved animals (especially her dog, “Wally”). Judie was known to many as “Aunt Judie”. Aunt Judie took care of and helped so many kids (adults too). She was always so kind, generous and threw the most fantastic get-togethers with a lot of food. There wasn’t any anything she couldn’t do. Such a strong woman, she was always there when you needed her. If you knew her and asked how she was, she would always say, “fat and sassy”. She truly touched so many lives by just being herself. Drink a cup of hot Lipton black tea with lots of sugar in remembrance of her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Dorothy Rafferty; brothers, Michael and David Rafferty and nephews, Curtis, Daniel and Lee Rafferty. She is survived by her husband, David Terwilliger; daughter, Tyler Terwilliger; niece, Michalene (Kennedy and Carter) Brown; nephews, Cory (Joshua) Rafferty and Michael Rafferty; great-grandson, Colten Butler; step-sons, Patrick, Todd and David Terwilliger; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other loving family and friends.
