Judith "Judy" A. (North) Rager

Judith “Judy” A. (North) Rager, 82, of Barberton, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Sprenger Health Care Smithville Western, where she lost her battle of Alzheimer’s. She was born on April 29, 1939 in Sand Run, Ohio and was a member of the Apostolic Church of Barberton. Her favorite things to do was to have family, friends and neighbors over for coffee and something sweet and set on her big covered porch to relax and talk for hours. She was always teased about her talking on the phone, it was something she did daily for hours and shopping with family and friends.  She would collect anything to do with cows, you would find them in every room in the house. Judy was truly a wonderful woman, wife, mother, grandmother and human being. She was so kind and giving. Her greatest joy was her great-grandchildren, going for baseball, soccer, cheerleading, wrestling, lacrosse, football, basketball, softball and track, cheering for them and spending time with her husband and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Gertrude North; brother, Charles North and sister, Donna Arthur (Harold). Judy is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Daniel “Sonny” Rager, they had a beautiful marriage, over the years riding motorcycles and running around in their 57 Chevy; children, Sharon (Mark) Mitchell, Sandra (Rob) Ries and Randy Rager; grandchildren, Daniel (Kate) Ries, Rob (Brandi) Ries and Ashley (Seth) Browning; great-grandchildren, Landan, Cadan, Aaron, Will, Kaylee, Karsen, Noah and Owen; brother, Robert (Julie, deceased); sister, Rita Krum (Jack, deceased); sister-in-law, Judy North; lifelong friends, Rosie Daugherty and Jean Mullins; nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.The family would like to thank all of the caregivers at Sprenger Health Care Smithville Western on the 400 Wing that showed their love, care and support to her and her family. Judy’s funeral service will be held Friday, March 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton, Ohio 44203 with Pastors Paul and Rodney Pamer officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and family on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.
