Kenneth A. Gosnell

Kenneth A. Gosnell, 83, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2026. He was born in Marshall, North Carolina on March 7, 1943, to the late Charlie and Lena Gosnell. He was a United States Army Veteran. Ken was a resident of Akron area since 1967. He retired from A&C Welding in 2006.

Preceded in death by siblings, Curly Gosnell, Sadie Cook, Nellie Gosnell, Brenda Fisher, Buddy Gosnell, and Donnie Gosnell.

Survived by wife of 60 ½ years, Bonnie; children, Kenneth (Shelly) Gosnell, Jerry (Linda) Gosnell, and Barbie (Tom) Smail; grandchildren, Sarah (Cody), Ryne (Kortney), J.J. (Mariah), and Travis (Chelsea); 7 great-grandchildren; sisters Blanche Barns, Rhoda Lupton along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Ken’s family will receive friends on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203. Funeral service will be held Monday, April 27, 2026, at 12:30.  Burial with military honors to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to DAV at help.dav.org.
