Larry Mason

Larry Mason, 71, passed away Saturday September 23, 2023. He was born in Forrest City, Arkansas on November 3, 1951 and was a Barberton area resident for 32 years. He retired from Summit County Environmental Services after 20 years of service. Larry was a boxer and was inducted into the Summit County Hall of Fame Boxing Association. He enjoyed working outdoors, gardening and spending time with his family. Preceded in death by his parents, N.R. and Mabel Mason; siblings, Calvin, John, Dorothy and Melvin and daughter, Yolanda Wheeler. Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Barbara; brother, Randy Mason; grandchildren, Jasmyn, Anthony Jr. and Lawrence Keys; great-grandchildren, Naija, Nyleha, Namya, Mayleigh and Khori; one great-great-grandson, Tailyn; many other family members and a host of friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Traditions Hospice for all the care that Larry and his family received. Larry’s funeral service will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 1 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton.The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until time of his service.
