Lynn K. (Corpening) Pitz

     Lynn K. (Corpening) Pitz, 77, of Barberton, Ohio passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025.

     Lynn was born, raised and spent most of her life in Barberton, Ohio.  She graduated from Norton High School and went on to work as an Administrative Assistant.

     Over the course of her life, Lynn held many hobbies such as gardening, camping, reading, volunteering at One of a Kind Pets, and doing various crafts.  Most importantly, she had a passion for crocheting and creating unique gifts for family, friends, and even those she just met.  Some of her most remarkable attributes were her selflessness, giving nature, and desire to bring a smile to everyone’s face through her creations.

     From a young age, Lynn had a love and devotion for cats.  She had many feline companions throughout her life; those in her home, and those she cared for outside of it.  She leaves behind her very best friend, “Ellie”, who will miss her immensely.

     Lynn is survived by her daughter, Lisa McGonigal and son, David (Carrie) Pitz; brother, Bruce (Sonia) Corpening; grandchildren, Nicholas (Kelsey) Allman, Megan McGonigal, Isaac Case, and Molly Pitz; and great-granddaughter, Lucy Allman, whom she shared a very special bond with.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Ellen Corpening; brother, Ernest (Butch) Corpening III; and grandson, Ayden Pitz.
