Margaret "Maggie" Gale Obituary

Margaret (Maggie) Louise Gale

Maggie Gale, age 18, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Maggie was born on February 27, 2003 in Akron, Ohio. She leaves behind her mother, Susan Gale, her siblings Ashley (AJ Hafler), Jeremey (Stephanie) and their son Liam, Christian (April), Evelyn, and Charlie; her grandparents Linda Moyers, Sandra Gale, great grandma Marie Futrell; her boyfriend Wes Goin. She was also predeceased by her father, Christian Gale II, grandparents James and Anne Armour and grandpa, Christian Gale. Maggie attended Coventry High School and played percussion in the High School Band.  She enjoyed spending time with friends and blessed those around her with her amazing energy, love and fun spirit.  Maggie had a deep love for her family and cherished the time they spent together, always bringing her energy, humor and spice. She especially enjoyed time spent with her siblings, Evelyn and Charlie, after chemo treatments.  Maggie also loved their pets, the dogs, Roxy and Raina, and she was the decision maker on two recent additions to the family – the kittens, Bon Jovi and Milk Crate. Besides being with friends and family, Maggie loved art and was a talented artist.  Her love of art included drawing, sculpting, painting, and anime.  She loved listening to music.  Her favorite music included the Beatles, Bon Jovi and Melanie Martinez.  She also loved fashion and collecting vintage items, and would shop at Goodwill and the Village to find the perfect vintage outfit. We thank God for the gift of Maggie for 18 years.  We are so grateful to the many doctors, nurses, specialists, therapists, and volunteers at Akron Children’s Hospital and Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus that worked tirelessly alongside Maggie’s battle with cancer. Calling hours will be at First Baptist Church of Barberton, 254 6th St. NW, Barberton OH 44203 on Saturday, May 1st, from 2 pm to 4 pm, followed by the funeral service at 4 pm. Due to current circumstances masks are REQUIRED and social distancing will be observed. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Maggie’s name to Final Farewell Project, https://www.finalfarewellproject.org/
