Maria Snyder

Maria Snyder, 99, passed away Monday, November 11, 2024. She was born in Yugoslavia on July 28, 1925, to the late Henrich and Juliana Meuller and fled to the United States in December 1951. Maria enjoyed celebrating her birthdays at St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church picnics where she danced the Kolo. Preceded in death by her husbands, Jakob Obrad and Reggie Snyder; daughter, Herta Obrad; brother, Carl Muller and sister, Kata Kadich. Maria is survived by her beloved cat, “Puma”; daughters, Greta Bachmann and Rosa Huth (Tom Doty); son, George Obrad; grandchildren, Ericka, Jessica, Michael, Bekki, Greta, Russell, Sara and Caitlyn and 20 great-grandchildren. Maria’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 with Rev. Mr. Robin Adair, Deacon officiating. Burial to follow at Loyal Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Aultman Hospice.
