Martha Kay Jamison, age 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. She was born on December 10, 1931 in Fayette County, West Virginia to the late Alonzo and Evelyn (Epperly) Stevens, she was number 4 of 17 children. Martha was a resident of Barberton since 1955 and a member of the Barberton Evangelical Friends Church where she was active in outreach and a member of the choir. She retired from ARA Food Services and more recently as the Pantry Manager of the Barberton Area Community Ministries where the Martha Jamison Volunteer of the Year Award was developed. Martha was known throughout the community as she worked all her life helping others. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Jamison; daughter, Elizabeth “Libby” Jamison; daughter-in-law, Melissa (Maurer) Jamison; siblings, Millie, Mary, Ann, Harvey, Carol, Gerald, Danny, Drema, Forestal and Sharon. Martha is survived by her son, Jack Jamison; daughters, Mary (Scott) McHenry and Marsha (Paul Court) Jamison; grandchildren, Grace (Dave) Reiser, Jack (Kristy) Jamison, Mary (Brian) Chancy, Kayla (Chris) Miller, Philip (Lindsay) McHenry, Steven McHenry and Anthony Stefan; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Layne (Shirley), Virginia, Frieda, Jane, Jean (Bill) and Helen (Dennie); along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the friends from church and the community that were so special to Martha. Martha’s family will receive friends on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Avenue, Barberton, Ohio 44203. There will be a private prayer service for family members following the visitation at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
