Martha Ann (Turner) Love

Martha Ann Love (nee Turner), 92, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 1, 2023. Born in Barberton on October 9, 1930 and was a graduate of Barberton High School, Class of 1948.  Martha retired from Barberton Schools in 1990. She was baptized in 1939 and was a member of First Baptist Church of Barberton for 79 years. Preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Mattie Turner; husband, Harold “Gene” Love; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Gregory Shiflett; brother, Lee (Jack) Turner and sisters, Sara Francis and Mildred Lucille.  Surviving are son, Daniel (Sheila) Love, Timothy (Cassandra) Love, Ralph (Pamela) Foore, Michael (Deborah) Love and Blaine (Deborah) Love; daughter, Patricia (Anthony) Heitic; 25 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; along with many friends. Martha’s funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Barberton First Baptist Church, 254 Sixth Street, N.W., Barberton with Pastor Mike Prebynski officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.  Martha’s family will receive friends and family from 10 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the church.
