Mary R. Batten

Mary R. Batten, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 4, 2026. She was born on November 11, 1932, to the late Charles and Vonnie Boggs in Gilmer County, Stumptown, West Virginia. She was a resident of New Franklin since 1956. Mary was a longtime member of Norton Baptist Church and AARP.  She was an avid bowler and golfer. Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles and grandson, Jason.  Mary is survived by her daughter, Linda Mullett; son, Stephen (Michelle) Batten; granddaughters, Nicole (James) Cuvelier, Christine Batten (Jess) and Jessica (Tim) Angel; great-grandchildren, Tripp Angel and Harlow Batten; extra special son, Bob Mullett; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mary’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 1 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier, 566 W. Park Avenue, Barberton with Pastor Sean Yusten officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.  Mary’s family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 Noon until time of her service.
