Mary L. (Wyrick) Cook

Mary L. Cook, 86, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026. She was born on February 4, 1940, in Ashland, West Virginia and was a resident of Barberton since 1960. She retired from Barberton City Schools where she worked in the cafeteria at U.L. Light.

Preceded in death by parents, Luther and Roxie Wyrick; husband of 46 years, John A. Cook; son, David B. Cook; and sister, Bonnie Wyrick.

Survived by son, Douglas B. (Gina) Cook; grand-daughters, Jenny (Chris) Bingham; Kimberly Devries; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings Zelma (Steve) Miller, Thelma Powell, Billy (Pat) Wyrick, Johnnie (Brenda) Wyrick, and Bea Wyrick along with other relatives and friends.

Following her wishes cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held for family at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
