Mary Ellen (Greene) Cunningham

Mary Ellen Cunningham (Greene), 91, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 26, 2022. She was born in Richwood, West Virginia on December 12, 1930. Mary retired from Norton City Schools where she was employed as a secretary in the Music Department and later in the Guidance Office at the high school. She was a member of Barberton First Baptist Church for 73 years, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, Junior Church teacher and Deaconess. Preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Audrey Greene; brothers, Charles and James Greene and sister, Barbara Mullens. Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 72 years, William; son, Kenneth (Christine) of Wadsworth; daughter, Debbie Niemoeller (George) of Canal Fulton; grandsons, Nathan and Jason (Jessica) Cunningham, George and Michael Niemoeller; great-grandsons, Alexander and Liam Cunningham; along with other relatives and friends. Mary’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 with Pastor Mike Prebynski officiating.  Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, August 31st from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Barberton First Baptist Church, 254 Sixth St., N.W., Barberton 44203.
