Mary Gertrude Freeman, 99, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021. Preceded in death by her husband, Paul Freeman; parents, Joseph and Louise Kelley; sisters, Gamilla (John) Mong and Carol (Bob) Frey; brother, James (Martha) Kelley; grandsons, Cole and Nick Bennett; son-in-law, Othel Bennett and first husband, C.F. Biggs. Mary is survived by her daughter, Debbie Bennett; sister, Laurel Ebner; granddaughter, Stacey (Jim) Harshbarger; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; step-daughters, Beverly (Gary) Miller and Christina Miller; step-son, Gary Freeman; step-grandchildren, Katelyn and Paul Freeman; along with many wonderful nieces and nephews. Mary retired from Peninsular Steel after 13 years of service. Her interest were bridge, bowling and travel. She enjoyed music and loved to dance. Mary enjoyed life to the fullest. Always giving herself to friends and family. She had a wonderful soul and will be deeply missed by all. A very special thank you to her great-granddaughter and great-grandson-in-law Dana and Travon Ambrose for allowing Mary to remain in her home for the rest of her days.
