Mary Frances “Fanny” Buehrle, 89, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 3, 2026. She was born on September 8, 1936 in Barberton, Ohio to the late Harold and Marguerite Petit. Mary was married to James “Dick” Buehrle for 68 years. They raised their family in Firestone Park before moving back to her hometown of Barberton. She selflessly devoted her life to raising her three children and found great joy in being present at every family gathering, always delighting in sharing cherished memories. She retired in 1998 from Brown-Graves Lumber after many years of employment. Fanny looked forward to her monthly Euchre Club with her besties. She lived her life with deep gratitude, beginning each day by thanking God and recognizing the blessing of family and friends to share life’s moments with. Fanny will be greatly missed and forever remembered. Survived by brother, Tom (Rita) Petit; children, Carolyn Ports, Mary (Hamilton, Jr.) DeSaussure and Michael (Gabriela) Buehrle; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Jeanne Carter and son-in-law, Keith Ports. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204 Sixth St., N.W., Barberton, Ohio 44203. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation for Fanny will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton from 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her favorite charity, where she volunteered, The Giving Doll, P.O. Box 972, Wadsworth, Ohio 44282, or St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204 Sixth Street, N.W., Barberton, Ohio 44203.
