Mildred "Midge" Franks

Mildred “Midge” Franks, peacefully passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023, at the age of 96 in Canal Fulton, Ohio. Mildred was born on February 21, 1927 in Harriettsville, Ohio, to her parents, Ernest and Anna Walker. She was a beloved mother, good friend and a devout member of the First Baptist Church in Barberton. Midge was a retired ward clerk from Barberton Citizens Hospital. She dedicated her career to serving others and was respected by her colleagues. Mildred’s warm and caring nature extended beyond her professional life. She cherished her role as a mother and enjoyed her family and friends. Mildred had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel, engage in social activities and create lasting memories with her loved ones. Milded was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, as well as her parents and siblings. Midge is survived by her son, David (Joan) Rayl; daughters, Cheryl (Joe) Mollica, Carol (Robert) Campbell and Deborah (Richard) Busson. Her legacy also lives on through her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Midge’s family will receive friends on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.  Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton with Rev. Warren Lowery officiating.  Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Barberton. Midge Franks will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her kind and compassionate spirit will be remembered and her legacy will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
