Nancy L. (Doherty) Linder

Nancy L. Linder (nee Doherty), 74, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023, after a five year battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer of the bone while under the care of her husband, Bob. She was born in Lakewood, Ohio on May 20, 1949 and was a resident of Barberton for 40 years. Nancy graduated from Brecksville/Broadview Heights High School in 1967 and Ohio University in 1971 with a degree in Journalism. Nancy was employed at the Barberton Library for 16 years and retired from the Orrville Library after 12 years of service. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, to Ireland, Wales, Scotland, South Africa, Costa Rica, Jamaica and all over the United States. Nancy was an avid reader and was truly grateful for large print books these last years. Preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Gladys Doherty. Nancy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bob; son, Jason (Missy); daughter, Adrienne O’Keefe; grandchildren, Emerson and Iris Linder and Gwen and Brendan O’Keefe; sister, Marilyn (Jerry) Bogard and brother, Dennis Doherty. A “Celebration of Nancy’s Life” will be take place on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Avenue, Barberton, Ohio 44203. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Barberton Library or the Orrville Library in Nancy’s memory.
