Paula (Bailey) Akers

Paula Akers, 55, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022. She was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia on December 7, 1966 and was a life resident of the Akron area. Paula enjoyed crafting and spoiling her grandkids. She was a loving wife, mother, “Maw-Maw”, sister and aunt. Preceded in death by her parents, Linda L. Bailey and Nelson P. Bailey Sr. and sisters, Mary and Jackie. Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Joe; sons, Josh (Anne-Marie) and Daniel; grandchildren, Kaylee, Hunter and Colton; sisters, Brenda (Richard), Carolyn, Cindy (Leroy), Becky and Tammy (Keith); brothers, Jr. (Carlena), Rickey, Steven (Tanya), and Aaron (Heather); mother-in-law, Momma K.; sisters-in-law, Kim and Missy; special cousin, “sister”, Patty; Aunt Peggy: along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Due to current circumstances masks are REQUIRED and social distancing will be observed. Paula’s family will receive friends on Monday, January 17, 2022 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
