Peggy Joyce (Park) Loughry

     Peggy Joyce Loughry, 91, of Barberton, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2025.  Born on September 29, 1933, in Coal Run, Ohio, Peggy was the daughter of Jasper William and Fanny Ellen Park.

     She attended East High School in Akron, Ohio, and later dedicated her life to caring for her family as a devoted homemaker.  Peggy found joy in the simple pleasures of life-she loved bowling, had a deep affection for cats, and cherished the adventures of going on cruises.  Her warm spirit and kind heart brought joy to all who knew her.

     A woman of faith, Peggy was a member of Liberty Free Will Baptist Church, where she found comfort and community.

     She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Elmer Loughry, her parents, and her siblings, Jack Park and Bernita Park-Edmunds.

     She is survived by her loving children, Charles William (Chuck) and Jamie Lou Loughry, and Brian Keith Loughry.  She was a proud grandmother to Charles Arthur Loughry, Christopher Alan Loughry, and Chelsea Anne (Arman) Samouk.  She will be deeply missed by many family members and friends who cherished her presence.

     Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton, Ohio 44203.  She will be laid to rest alongside her husband, “Elmer” at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Doylestown.

     Peggy’s legacy of love and kindness will forever live in the hearts of those who knew her.
