Peggy L. Rager (Egantoff) Ragans

Peggy L. (Egantoff) Rager Ragans, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. She was a resident of Akron for 56 years and retired from the Akron City Schools as a cafeteria worker. She was a longtime member of Central Community Church. Preceded in death by her son, Glen Rager Jr.; husband, Glen Rager Sr.; brother, Roger Alward; mother, Jeanne Burt (Rittenour) nee Meredith; husband, Gary Ragans Sr. and son-in-law, Orvan Beachy Jr. Peggy is survived by her children, Alice (Mike) Whitehouse, Stacey Beachy, Michael Flowers, Sarah Shaffer and Heather Ragans; 13 grandchildren; 3 sisters; along with many nieces and nephews. Peggy’s funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Central Community Church, 919 Johnston Street, Akron 44306 with Pastor Jay Loucks officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of her service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the church.
