Phyllis J. Ruff

Phyllis J. Ruff, 86, passed away Monday, September 4, 2023. She was born on August 12, 1937 in Akron, Ohio to the late Mary and John (Roy) Chaney. She graduated from Central High School, Class of 1955 and married Roy Ruff in 1958. Phyllis retired from Summit County Common Pleas Court in 2003 as Criminal Administrator and was a member of Northside Christian Church. Preceded in death by husband, Roy Ruff and brother, John (Bernice) Chaney. Phyllis is survived by her three sons, Dale (Lisa), Dean (Darla) and Donald (Deanna); ten grandchildren, Michael (Shannon) Ruff, Melissa (Mike) Cairns,  Cole (Holly) Osborne, Cody Osborne and Caylee Osborne, Dayna (Steve) Dukles, Dylan (Katie) Ruff and Daniel Ruff, Joshua Ruff and Lydia Ruff and nine great-grandchildren. Phyllis’ funeral service will be held Friday, September 15, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton with Ray Sanders officiating. Burial to follow at Clinton Cemetery.The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. and also one hour prior to the service on Friday.
