Retired Lt. Colonel John Thomas Hickman

Retired Lt. Colonel John Thomas Hickman, 79, son of the late Catherine and Leroy Hickman passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024 after a long illness. John proudly served in the U.S. Army for 28 years, retiring as a Lt. Colonel. He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Hickman; his son, Keith; daughter, Kari; stepchildren, David, Connie and Maria; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kayla, Cookie, Paige, Ryan, Mickey, Ethan, Noah, Malina, Elizabeth and Abigail; sisters, Jane Vojtko and Mary McMannes; brother, Joseph Hickman and his “Kitties”, Lucky, Jake and Willy. John’s burial with military honors will take place on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 2:15 p.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.The procession to the cemetery will form at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 at 1 p.m.
