Richard A. Ballash I, 67, passed away Friday, November 8, 2024. He was a life resident of Barberton, attended St. Augustine School and was a graduate of Barberton High School, Class of 1976. Richard was employed by Wooster Motor Ways as a truck driver for 23 years. He was a member of the “Hunky Club” in Barberton and enjoyed riding his Harley. Preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose and Mary Ballash. Richard is survived by his wife of 47 years, Peggy; children, Richard (Katie) Ballash, Mary Ballash (Kelly Farmer), Melissa Rogers, Marie Rogers, Raymond Rogers and Robert Rogers; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Patricia (Bill) Tyson, Nancy Jarvis and Joseph (Debra) Ballash; friends, David Kaisk and Richard Pully; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held at Victory Chapel, 32 W. Bellisle Drive, Akron, Ohio 44319 on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Jarvis officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton, Ohio 44203 to help with final expenses.
