Richard "Rich" L. Bartoe

Richard “Rich” L. Bartoe, 89, went to be with the Lord his Savior on Sunday, March 10, 2024. He was born on April 17, 1934 in Logan, Ohio to the late Harley and Addie Bartoe (nee Matheny) and moved to Barberton as a young boy. Rich was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean C. Bartoe (nee Roysdon); his brothers, Roy Bartoe and Lynn Bartoe; his sister, Barbara Zumbrennen and brother-in-law, John Roysdon. Rich enjoyed golfing with his good friends, keeping a beautifully manicured lawn and garden and spending time with his beloved family. He also enjoyed, very much, time with his many church family members from Crossroads Community Church where he was a devout and active member. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War and was a member of National Lodge #568 F&AM. Rich is survived by his daughter, Darlene Greer (late Tom) and sons, David Parker, Duane Parker and Dwight Parker (Jeanne); grandchildren, Paulette Renee Wolf (George), Deanna Lesh (Andy), Dawn Parker-Pence (Nate), Salena Parker, David Parker, Jr., Amanda Williamson (Blake), Brittany Parker and Theresa Parker. Rich is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Donna Harmon and Lucille Burton (Ed) and many nieces, nephews and friends. Rich’s funeral service will be held Monday, March 18, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Crossroad Community Church, 700 Gates Street, Doylestown, Ohio 44230 with Jerry Butcher officiating. He will be laid to rest with his with Jean at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 17th from 3 to 6 p.m. and also one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Crossroads Community Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
