Richard "Rick" L. Fetter

Richard “Rick” L. Fetter, 72, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 9, 2025. He was born June 26, 1952 in Barberton, Ohio and was a graduate of Barberton High School, Class of 1970. Rick retired from the U.S. Army after 24 years of service and was a member of LifeSpring Christian Church. Rick loved going to car shows and spending time with his father and also spending time with his grandchildren. Preceded in by his mother, Pauline Fetter. Rick is survived by wife of 48 years, Diane; daughter, Angela (Sean) Hill and son, Jay Fetter; grandchildren, Andrew Michael (Inyessa) Hill, Evan Hill, Peyton Hill, Xavier Fetter, Asher Fetter, Dustin Fetter and Kayson Fetter; great-grandson, Sylas Hill; father, John Fetter; brother, Paul Fetter and sister, Julie Roberts. A memorial service will be held for Rick on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 2 p.m. at LifeSpring Christian Church, 1828 Marigold Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44301 with Pastor Terry Baker officiating. An inurnment with military honors will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the church.
