Richard "Rick" Phillip Jones

Richard “Rick” Phillip Jones, 75, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024. He was born in Akron on December 14, 1949 and was a resident of Norton for 30 years. Rick was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He retired from ALPHA Technologies after 35 years of service as a Field Service Electronic Engineer. Rick was a member of Grace Church Norton Campus. Rick is survived by his wife of 46 years, Suzanne; children, Richard William Jones, Elizabeth (Jeffery) Thayer and Kristine Haynes; grandchildren, Madeline Thomas and Isabelle Thayer; sisters, Gail Deschamps, Judith Jones, Cheryl Balogh and Sharon Dunaway; brothers, Donald (Theresa) Jones, Robert Jones and Ronald Jones; along with other relatives and friends. Rick’s funeral service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 12:45 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton with Pastor Adam Speas officiating. Burial to follow at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with military honors. Rick’s family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
