Robert “Bob” C. Brady, 90, passed away Friday, January 19, 2024. He was a life resident of Barberton. Bob was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was stationed in Germany, Fort Knox and Japan serving in the infantry and lastly as a Medic. He was owner/operator of Bob’s Barber Shop in Loyal Oak and retired from Acme with 30 years of service. He was past commander of Loyal Oak VFW and member of American Legion Post #449 and the Barberton Church of God. Bob was known as a very “Avid Ohio State Fan”. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary; infant twin sons, Daniel and David; sisters, Evelyn, Violet and Delores; brothers, Gene and Harold. Bob is survived by his companion of 37 years, Gloria Esterak and her family; sons, Robert, Michael (Cheri) and Scott (Nikki); five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service for Bob will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 with Pastor Matthew Williams officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 24th from 5 to 7 p.m. and also one hour prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Affinity Hospice.
