Ronald "Ron" A. Mihal

Ronald “Ron” A. Mihal, “Absent from the body, present with the Lord”, passed away, Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021 at the age of 61. Ron lived and grew up in Barberton and was a graduate of Barberton High School, Class of 1978. He was employed by Atlantic Foundry Company, Wheeler Boyce and by the Akron Foundry Company from 1994 until he became disabled in 2015.  Before his disability Ron loved to go fishing and hunting and once said “One day I would like to go fishing by the Sea of Galilee in Israel!” Preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Dorothy Mihal and brother, Steve Mihal.  Ron is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Margareta, who was the “Love of His Life”; brother, Greg (Karen) and their family; many cousins; special sister-in-law, Marianna (John) Paoletti and their family; many brothers-in-law and their families and also the two “Kitty Fur Babies, Timmy and Kiki” and all of Ron’s old and new caring friends. Special thank you to all the Barberton EMS Team and the Summa Barberton Hospital ER Team for trying so hard to save Ron’s life until his last fighting breath. Ron’s funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton with Pastor Mike Prebynski officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.  His family will receive friends from 12 Noon until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Barberton First Baptist Church, 254 Sixth Street, N.W., Barberton 44203.
