Sandra “Sandi” Tichon, born June 13, 1958, to James and Virginia Eicher, passed away on April 19, 2026, surrounded by the love she so freely gave to others throughout her life.
She is survived by her son, Dustin (Jenny), and her beloved granddaughter, Emma, who brought her immense joy. Sandi cherished her time with Emma, especially their sleepovers, hikes, and special trips to Amish country. You could always count on her to be in the crowd cheering at every hockey game, choir concert, figure skating performance, and more.
Sandi was a natural caregiver, dedicating much of her life to caring for her parents and supporting those around her. She lovingly raised her son and played a vital role in the lives of her nieces, nephew, and other family members who affectionately knew her as “Nana.” To many in her community, she was more than a neighbor; she was a second mother, always ready with kindness and guidance.
Sandi had a deep love of music and especially enjoyed playing the French horn. Along with her musical talents, she had a gift for storytelling and found great happiness in sharing stories about her pets and the many humorous moments from her life.
Guided by a strong faith and love for the Lord, Sandi lived with compassion and grace. She also had a soft spot for animals, caring deeply for each one she welcomed into her life.
She is reunited in heaven with her sister, Cindy, as well as many beloved pets who were dear to her heart.
Sandi will be remembered for her unwavering love, her selfless nature, and the countless lives she touched. Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured and the community she helped shape and they will carry forward her care and devotion for others. She leaves behind a lasting impact as a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 27th, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 636 W. Park Ave., Barberton, Ohio. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church.
