Sandra K. Topa

Sandra K. Topa, 87, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2026. She was a life resident of Barberton. She retired as a professor from The University of Akron after many years of service.

Preceded in death by husband, James D. Sherman, and brother, Denny Stump.

She is survived by sons, Jim Topa, Mike (Monica) Topa, Dan (Letti) Topa; granddaughter, Jamie Valencheck; great-granddaughters, Maddy and Lexi; brothers, Gordon (Marie) Stump and Thomas (JoAnn) Stump; sister-in-law, Darlene Stump; friend, David Kelly along with other relatives and friends.

Following her wishes, there will be no services and cremation has taken place. Inurnment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
