Scott E. "Boog" Hurd

Scott E. “Boog” Hurd, 50, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021. He was a life resident of Akron and was a graduate of East High School, Class of 1990. Scott enjoyed being a father more than anything and treated everyone he met like a friend. His smile and laughter would light up a room. Boog was an avid pool player and enjoyed cheering on Cleveland sports teams, along with the Dallas Cowboys and Ohio State Buckeyes. Preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Patti Mosley and grandmother, Celia Kupris; survived by his children, Maycee, Zackary and Carlie; girlfriend, Michelle; brothers, Dave, Sean and Mike; best friend and cousin, Corey and many lifelong friends. Due to current circumstances masks are REQUIRED and social distancing will be observed. Scott’s family will receive friends on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home.
