Shirley J. Larimore

Shirley J. Larimore, 89, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026.

She was a life resident of Akron.  Shirley was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Loyal Oak and was a graduate of Norton High School, Class of 1954.

Shirley enjoyed bus trips, baking and crafting and loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Virginia Thompson; brother, Jerry Thompson and loving husband, Jay Larimore.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Jill (Charles) Miller; son, Nick  (Kim); brother, Jack (Rosie) Thompson; sister, Joan (Larry) Sams; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other family member and friends.

Funeral service for Shirley will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 1 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203 with Pastor Rod Grabski officiating.  Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.  Shirley’s family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of her service.
