Sue "Susie" J. Harris

Sue “Susie” J. Harris, 76, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Saturday, May 3, 2025. She was born on November 21, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Wilbur and Dorothy Buechler. Sue was an active member of Barberton V.F.W. Post #1066. Susie could often be found enjoying a cold beer, laughter and smiles with her husband, Gary and many friends at the Green Diamond. Preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ward Buechler. Susie is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gary; son, Scott (Linda) Sweitzer; special nieces, Kelly and Bobbi; along with other relatives and many, many friends. Special thanks to Crossroads Hospice, along with Todd and Barb and the care and support from all her friends. Funeral service for Sue will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 1 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton, Ohio 44203 with Scott Sweitzer officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Susie’s family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of her service at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society.
