Thomas "Tommy" S. (Toof) Kilmer

Thomas “Tommy” S. (Toof) Kilmer, 10, went home to be with the Lord after a long courageous battle with leukemia on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. He was a student at Barberton Elementary East. Tommy loved wrestling, soccer and most of all gaming with his family and friends. Preceded in death by his great-uncle, Scott Thomas Kilmer; great-grandpa and great-grandma, Harry and Normagaye Hummel and great-grandfather, Uhland Couch. Tommy is survived by his mother, Carly Kilmer (Tony); father, Tommy (Jess) Kilmer; sisters, Rylie and Audrey; brothers, Trevor and Drew; grandparents, Becky Hummel and Bob Martin, Bill Young, Libby Kilmer and Robert Kilmer, Mitch and Steve Smith; special aunts, Leah Young (Zeke) and Hayley (Adam) Lengyel; special uncles, John Hummel, Freddy Kilmer and Johnny Kilmer; girlfriend, Carmalene; best friends, Aaron and Brenden; along with many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.Tommy’s funeral service will be held Monday, November 1st, 2021 at 12 Noon at Connect Church, 578 Killian Road, Akron, Ohio 44319 with Jason Knight officiating. His family will receive family and friends from 10 a.m. until time of service. A private catholic service will be held for the family with Fr. Pentello officiating.  Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, where Tommy will be laid to rest next to his grandparents, Harry and Normagaye Hummel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Tommy’s name to Camp Quality.
