Willard A. Ash, 76, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024, after a brief illness, surrounded by his family. He was born in West Virginia on November 29, 1947 and was a resident of Norton for most of his life, living in Smithville the last 32 years. Willard was a U.S. Army veteran serving during Vietnam. He retired from Gerstenslager Company after 19 years of service. Willard truly loved all of his children and grandchildren. He had a large knife collection and was a lover of anything Harley Davidson. Preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Rosie Lea Ash; sister, Carol Ritchie and brother, Lewie Ash. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Virginia; children, Tammy Levers, Christine (Craig) Krosnick, Kathleen (Robert) Stevens and Allen (Amy) Ash; grandchildren, Allyson (Parker) Davis, Brandi Shepherd (Arthur), Emily Krosnick, Chase Mitchell, Travis Shepherd, Karinne Mitchell, Caleb Ash and Emery Ash; great-grandson, Atlas Warren and two great-grandchildren on the way; sister, Shirley (Marv) Armbrust; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Burial with military honors will take place on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 1:45 p.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, at 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, Ohio 44273.
