Dear Sherry, Nancy & Scott; Polly and I were heartbroken to hear of your mom’s passing. As you well know, your family was very special to us in years past and played a significant roll in our entering the ministry. We hold those memories dear and it’s to the credit of your mom and dad, the encouragement which they gave, that allowed us whatever success we may have had over the years. I’m sorry to say that we were unaware of Pat’s illness. I did miss the calls which I used to get periodically from Pat. Her heart was certainly grounded in the church and I’m sure that she’s rejoicing with the Lord even now. I’m sorry, we will not be able to attend the funeral service since we have been in Branson, MO all summer and are leaving tomorrow (Sept 26) for Kentucky. We will certainly be thinking of you and holding you up in prayer. I know, Scott, you’ll do your mom proud. God bless all of you.
