Norton – Ronald Paul “Coach” Clawson Sr., 60 passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 30, 2016. Preceded in death by his father, Gene Clawson and nephew, Tyler Wise; Ron is survived by his loving wife, Connie; daughter, Rebecca (David) Duke; granddaughter, Lilly Duke; son, Ronald P. Clawson Jr.; daughter, Rachel Clawson; his faithful four legged companion, “Betty”; along with other relatives and many friends. As per Ron’s written request, a celebration of his life with Eulogy will be held Sunday, August 28th at Houston Hall, 3069 Houston Road, Norton, Ohio 44203 from 2 to 6 p.m.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association or donate blood to the American Red Cross in Ron’s memory. Ron most thoroughly loved taking care of his family and participating as they grew.  He loved coaching Ronnie’s soccer team for several years, as well as Rachel’s softball team and attending the numerous dance recitals and band concerts.  He always enjoyed the thrill of anything to do with cars; from him starting his own Auto Works business years ago, to regularly going to car shows, races and doing all the work on his own “mini-fleet” of family vehicles. Even with his very busy schedule, he always made time for “date nights” with Connie.  Ron always made sure to remember every special occasion, and made sure to have every detail taken care of in order to have “get-away weekends”. While running his own business, he worked his way through the University of Akron to obtain his BS in business management.  Soon after his very successful sales career, Ron took great pride in sharing his IICRC (International Institute of Cleaning Restoration Certification) with the very many classes he taught for Rainbow International in 49 states and five providences of Canada.  While teaching these classes, Ron built several long lasting professional and close personal relationships. Being very civic minded, he served several years as a member of the Norton Board of Zoning Appeals and the Akron Chamber of Commerce; which also enhanced his public and private impact on anyone that knew Ron. Ron is also survived by mother, Sally, Rick and Russ Clawson.
